The Electronic Wizards Apprenticeship

The Windmill Workshops are a husband and wife team, Ian & Bean Moore, based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire and have been running Robot Building Workshops for the last year. Ian has studied Electronics for the past 20 years and Bean is a Stained Glass Artist.

The Electronic Wizards Apprenticeship is a fantastic inspirational Postal Course with a magical theme making it fun for ages 8-14, and is divided into bite-size 14-week ‘Spells’. The Spring Spell will start on 8th Jan 2004.

Every 2 weeks a Surprise WONDER BOX will arrive at your door! Each Wonder box is a mystery!

Projects include: Alternative Energies, Soldering, Electrostatics, Radio, Computer programming, building circuits, sound and light, motors and gears, technical drawing, early inventions, quizzes, competitions, with website help and support, and much more.

These are not simple click together kits with no real learning.

Simple language with no jargon is used, giving a good grounding and building confidence in ability.

Just about the most exciting thing a boy or girl could do!

Maths Tutor

I have a background in traditional teaching and have been a primary Head too! I am now retired and have become a Kumon Maths Instructor which involves me in both direct teaching and teaching entirely by correspondence which I'm sure will be of interest to a number of parents who educate their own children at home. (I specialise in ages 4-14 although other ages and adults benefit too)!

The scheme is a series of exercises which I apply and the parents administer them themselves in their own homes. They then send the results to me by post and I advise and set them the most appropriate work according to their responses. It works for ANY ability - Special Needs means Dyslexic and it also means bright children who need a challenge - they ALL reach their full potential, with their commitment.

Please ring me on 01623 882844 if I can help further and answer any questions you might have.
