Childcare

The way in which modern society is organised does not make it easy for either mothers or fathers to spend as much time with their babies and young children as they would like - especially if they are single parents.

This is not good for parents, it is not good for children and it is not good for society as a whole.

Fortunately, attitudes are changing and there is a dawning recognition of the importance of the role of being a parent.

The first five years of a child's life are the most important in terms of what they learn and in terms of what sort of people they grow up to be. The more of that time that they can spend with people who love them - their parents and other members of their family - the better it is for everyone.
