The main purpose of this section of the site is to reaffirm the fact that babies, toddlers and all young children like being at home with their parents, or with other members of their family. This is the environment in which they are most happy, most healthy and in which they learn best.

The demands of modern life may make it inevitable that children have to spend some time in childcare, nursery or school but mothers and fathers should never allow themselves to be persuaded that professional carers and teachers can play the same role as loving parents and a stable home in a child's development.
